« Six-year term « A U.S. citizen « A qualified elector « Shall not hold any other office of trust or profit in Arkansas or US, except as authorized by law. « Licensed attorney in Arkansas for at least six (6) years immediately preceding the date of assuming office. « Resident of geographic area from which chosen; must reside there at time of election and during period of service. (Note: Geographic area may include any county contiguous to the county to be served when there are no qualified candidates available in the county to be served.) « Must never have been convicted of embezzlement of public money, bribery, forgery, or other infamous crime.
